      <title>Balkan Mathematical Olympiad team selected (30 April 2013)</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Balkan Mathematical Olympiad will be held in Cyprus from 28
June&amp;ndash;3 July.  The UK Team Leader is Dr Geoff Smith of the

      <title>European Girls&#x2019; Mathematical Olympiad results (12 April 2013)</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The UK team in the second European Girls&amp;rsquo; Mathematical
Olympiad have achieved the following results, coming 11th out of 22
participating teams.  The medal boundaries are 27 for gold, 21 for

      <title>BMO Round 2 marked (9 February 2013, New Zealand results added 28 February)</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;BMO Round&amp;nbsp;2 was marked in London on 9 February;
12 candidates in New Zealand also sat the paper, their scripts were
marked in New Zealand using the same mark schemes as used in the UK,
and such candidates are marked &amp;ldquo;(NZ)&amp;rdquo; below.  Invitations

      <title>BMO Round&#xA0;2 cut-offs (18 December 2012)</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The BMO2 qualifying cut-off scores are 38 for students in
year&amp;nbsp;13 (England and Wales), year&amp;nbsp;S6 (Scotland),
year&amp;nbsp;14 (Northern Ireland); 31 for students in year&amp;nbsp;12
(England and Wales), year&amp;nbsp;S5 (Scotland), year&amp;nbsp;13 (Northern
Ireland); 28 for students in year&amp;nbsp;11 (England and Wales),
year&amp;nbsp;S4 (Scotland), year&amp;nbsp;12 (Northern Ireland); and 20 for
students in lower school years.  Scoring at least the cut-off on BMO1
gives free entry to BMO2 provided that the candidate
is &lt;a href="http://www.bmoc.maths.org/home/eligibility.shtml"&gt;eligible to represent the UK at
the IMO&lt;/a&gt;.  Any participant in BMO1 may enter BMO2 by paying the
entry fee of &amp;pound;25.  BMO2 will take place on 31&amp;nbsp;January
2013.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
