British Mathematical Olympiad

Romanian Master of Mathematics

The UK has competed in the Romanian Master of Mathematics since 2008. See also 2008 press materials.

Subject to the timing of this competition, the UK participants are selected in January.

The UK sends six contestants to this competition; the UK does not always name a reserve. As well as the individual competition, there are official team rankings, based on the scores of the top three contestants from each team only (from 2018, the top three out of four nominated in advance for the team competition). As at the IMO, there are two papers, each of three questions, and each question marked out of 7 points (but the format varied at the first two competitions).
